232-Help hosts AVOAD meeting in preparation for 2025 hurricane season.

Acadiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster held their public meeting on Tuesday, June 17th at 232-Help. The meeting brought together local nonprofits such as ARCH (Acadiana Regional Coalition on Homelessness and Housing), United Way of Acadiana, Step Up Acadiana, Lafayette Housing Authority, 232-Help/Louisiana 211, Catholic Charities, Community Foundation of Acadiana and more to begin discussing potential collaborations between agencies in advance of storm season. Each year, AVOAD members work together in response to disasters to ensure that our neighbors affected by adverse weather events get the support and help that they need. Now more than ever, local help like this is critical to our area. If you are interested in learning more about AVOAD, visit their website at: https://www.acadianavoad.com/,
